Haha! That guy got poisoned on his island so his brains got crazy. He cought this poor racoon, skinned it and took its teeth as a keepsake!

Why so murderous? Maybe he just tried to crossbreed it with a bird.

Heh, where do Animal Protection Society look... And really, such experiments on animals at restricted islands may stir up such organisations in the US. It's interesting if there was any reaction.

Remember biology class? You can only crossbreed closely-related organisms.

Most breeding (dogs, cats, horses, fruit, flowers, etc.) involves individuals of the same species.

Occasionally it is possible to breed different species in the same genus, but this usually results in non-viable or infertile offspring. For example, a mule is a cross between a horse and an ass, and is infertile.

I mean some experiments for genetic modifying. It's not a direct crossbreeding - how could you imagine it, lol - but you can even add separate genes taken from animals even to some plants. This result either was totally unviable as you say, or too viable and had escaped from its creators. Hmm?
