Forum - What Are Relationships Like...?

I wonder what having a relationship would be like, I am going on 32 this
year, and have been asking women out since I was around 10 -- yes I know
that is kind of young -- but I have been turned down every single time for
22yrs in a row; I've never been on a date, I've never been kissed, I've
never had a girlfriend, and I still have not had sex. I do not know why
this is happening to me, why I cannot seem to get what everyone else can
get. I am lonely. Yes, I've tried personal ads, but they don't even work
for me. Because of all this, I've never have had a Valentine's Day, it's
the worst day of the year for me, a day I don't even want to leave my
apartment, because if I did I'd see everyone who is in love celebrating,
and I just can't handle that.

Though such a congratulation by one man to another one is out of all standards and traditions - I say Happy Valentine's Day to you, guy!

Hi Michael and I wish you a blessed Valentine's Day and a blessed life as well. I don't think that love is over-rated. Love goes deeper than just what you feel or do on Valentine's Day. Never say never because life can get better for you. Please be encouraged to have faith to keep going no matter what life throws at you. It's what we all do and say during the hard times that will make us or break us, basically. I have had my heart broken many times in my lifetime and felt bad about myself as well; but I learned that I first had to love myself before anyone can love me. I also learned to look at others with an open heart of caring even through the hard times in my life.
It would take a while; but life has a way of rewarding us when we have a good attitude in bad situations in life. A good attitude towards myself and towards others paid off a lot for me by rewarding me with love in my heart to care about people and care about myself.
It's ok Michael, things will someday be better for you. Trust and believe that your life will be blessed with lots of love no matter what you are going through at the time.
Love is giving respect to another person even when they don't deserve it. Love is turning the other cheek when you want to get revenge back at someone. Love is taking care of one another through all the good times in life and even in the bad times in life. Love keeps no record of wrongs done. Love always hopes and never gives up. Love never envies and it never lies. Love is more than just a fuzzy feeling or just sex. Love believes the best. Love is unconditional even if sometimes we all want to make it conditional. Faith, Hope, and Love avail; but the greatest of these is Love.

Love if not sustained, it can mislead us and allow us to overlook personal qualities that may be damaging in the future. However love can also allow us to fully express ourselves openly whereas before we would be so reluctant to do such. Love cannot be defined by any one person or any group and although it may be defined scientifically by "the extreme emotion of desire" the true answers are always allusive because it changes from person to person. I think you are better off loving a pet.
