A Poem That Touches My Heart&Soul I Would Love To Share.

I often go through things in life and I reflect back on reading and music that lifts me up and helps me to think about what is really important in life. I would love to share a poem that touches my heart and deep in my soul.

"When In Disgrace With Fortune And Men's Eyes"

When, in disgrace with fortune and men's eyes,
I all alone beweep my outcast state,
And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries,
And look upon myself, and curse my fate,
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope,
Featured like him, like him with friends possessed,
Desiring this man's art and that man's scope,
With what I most enjoy contented least;
Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising,
Haply I think on thee- and then my state,
Like to the lark at break of day arising
From sullen earth, sings hymns at heaven's gate;
For thy sweet love rememb'red such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings.

This poem reminds me of how much love is so important in life. All that we can have in life can help us pay bills,have fortune, and get by in life; but if love and care of others is missing; then,we miss out on what makes life worth really living. Our hearts would not be completely whole and there would always be something missing. I sure don't want to miss out on love and care for others because I know that I would not be whole myself without it.
