This may be a downer, but my favorite lost her sister
If one were really in love, then one couldn't fall out of it
It was good to get Skye's instant message, "hello." Now, before the tongues cluck, allow an explanation. If one ever were truly in love, why would he or she break off communication?
Love is not a hammock, that one falls into and out of. Besides, some of us may be infatuation addicts. It feels better to be in love, requited or not, than to live without it. My wife will have my balls for a bow tie if she ever reads this!
The question I wish to pose is this: "if one seeks passion outside of marriage, is he or she trying to replace the love found in the marriage, or are the cheaters being greedy . . . trying to find something not found within the marriage?"
Deep stuff for a cheater; the kind that enriches lawyers and private detectives! If Skye reads this she'll know. I asked her how she could stand her cheating clients as humans. She answered, with that combination of gentle daring that so attracted me, "some men have greater needs."
While we no longer see each other, I know I'll always remember and treasure the memory of the time she let me have.
